Breathed new life into my 2013 iMac.
Breathed new life into my 2013 iMac. Put the job off for a while as I was nervous about the task. I needn't have worried, the most difficult bit was picking of all the little bits of sticky. Tip: leave your iMac near a gentle heat source like a radiator to get the glue nice and warm and it'll come off easier. All the tools worked great especially the one that looks like a pizza cutter. The spudger supplied would be useful for scraping remnants of sticky tape off on the base of the iMac where it joins the case if it was a couple of millimetres narrower so it'd fit in the gap. Question I submitted re placement of the heat sensor was quickly answered "Please just attach sensor to 1-2 cm from SSD connector in the middle part of the SSD" The instructions suggested placing it on a metal part of the hard disk which wasn't possible as nearly all SSDs have plastic casing. My iMacs now fully working
