Worth Every Dollar!
This DVD compilation is superb. Top quality picture, sound, etc. Packaged very well and quite enjoyable to watch this classic series without those commercial interruptions. We definately will be investing in more seasons as they are made available. This was a present for my Dad for Father's Day and he hasn't stopped watching the DVD's yet. I think he will be ready for Season Two by August when his birthday comes around! Thanks seller for a truly great product that is so very rare/hard to find and a wonderful classic as well!

Great product! A Must See!
3 of 3 found this helpful I love musicals and this one was particularly hard to get as it aired on TV. But this DVD is fabulous quality and beautiful to watch. And even though noone could ever top Robert Preston & Shirley Jones in the original movie....this was just as entertaining... almost like watching it from a different perspective but still wonderful. Kristen Chenowith won my heart in her portrayal as Glinda the Good in the Broadway musical "Wicked" and she shines just as brightly in this movie as well as Marion the Librarian. Do we even need to say anything about how talented Matthew Broderick is? Like Preston, it isn't his singing that makes him so believable as Professor Harold Hill, but his incredible acting and antics. All in all... a truly wonderful family movie. If you have never seen it...why not give "IOWA" a try?
