    John Adams DVD
I saw this docu-drama on HBO. I call it a docu-drama because it is American History and not glamorized. If you love real stories and history, you will enjoy this series. I especially liked the set design and costumes of the period; not flashy but everyday clothes. This series based on the best seller book by David McCollough makes you really identify with our founding fathers and makes one proud to be an American.

Wonderful uplifting movie with excellent performances.
It's the perfect movie to watch when you are feeling down. It's motivating. A story of a middle aged woman in a rut with her life and her relationship with her husband. She meets an elderly woman in a nursing home who mesmerizes her with stories of women in her past. Therefore this movie becomes two movies in one. The story of the past is one movie and the modern day story of the two women befriended in the nursing home is the other movie. It's a fun movie to watch, at times dramatic and at times a comedy.

The Red Violin, a journey through time.
This movie is an epic journey of a violin that is created in the 16 or 17 century and then we follow it all through time. The mystery is the fortune teller's prediction of a young pregnant woman's future, in the beginning of the movie. Her life is somehow connected to the journey of the violin. The other interest in the movie is the modern day auction of the violin. This is a lovely drama but is not for the person who loves action epics.
