Book review of "The Glass Castle"
An easy read, it keeps your attention. But as a memoir, some of the incidents are very unbelievable. One reason I recommend it is that it is very eye-opening as to the plight of people in the coal mining towns of West Virginia. It is heartbreaking to think there are many parents these days who may be as neglectful as the parents of these children. Unfortunately, our welfare system reinforces this behavior.
