An absolute gem of a book!!!!!

I bought this book for my eldest daughter back in 1981 and she adored this story so much i could recite it off by heart.Six years later her younger sister felt the same way. Thirty years later my grandson is loving the story at least twice a day so much so that i have bought a copy for his cousin.The illustrations are gorgeous and the children love the noises i have to make in the story telling!!! I can honestly say that this is the best loved childrens book throughout my family (very large). It is a classic,gem of a book that should be part of every childs collection. oliver's nana

great book.

I have read this authors books before and liked her style of writing. Decided to buy this to take on holiday with me and couldn't put it down. Great book.

Absolutely loved it !!!!!!

I bought this book because my daughter and myself have read and enjoyed all Veronica Henry's novels. This one was no exception. We both devoured it in one sitting and loved the story. Highly recommend to everyone.
