Expect a (very) substandard audio and sound quality, despite digital remastering (is it really that ??)
I bought this edition just because it says it is digitally remastered, happy when saw that there was an edition that was.
I already have another, German, edition: Alice im wunderland, EAN:
4051238053777, which is sold here on e-bay. It has a nice cover with very clear, beautiful color pictures, so I thought the film would be just as beautiful. It would have been wonderful, a real pleasure, to see a beautifully restored 1949, Carol Marsh Alice movie ... but it was not at all. Both audio and video, colors, sharpness, etc. were gloomy, pale.
Barely worth seeing.
The doll figures felt as dated as they could. Grief, loss.
So I was looking forward to this edition's revelation of the film, but it's exactly the same, it's the same copy as the German edition. If there has been any restoration, then before the restoration it must have been like a single dark, totally worn, bleached unwatchable mess.
