Engrossing.
A brilliant story in that it could well have been true. Very well written, does not bog down anywhere and completely engrossing the whole way through. I read this book when it originally came out and have thoroughly enjoyed it again, many years later.

A very handy little gadget.
I bought this little device (same size as a USB stick) simply so that I did not need to remove the dashcams in two cars in order to view the recorded video. It is far easier to just eject the Micro SD card in each case, pop it in the adapter and then plug that into the USB port on my PC. It works, it is convenient and it appears to be as robust as any USB stick ......and very reasonably priced.

Sony DSC-T300 Cyber-shot
The stand-out features of this camera, from my viewpoint, are its large LCD screen; ease of use; touch-screen menu system; wide-range of additional user-features beyond the auto settings; and its slim size. In addition, a plus feature is that it uses a lithium-ion battery rather than AA's and can take advantage of the version that shows battery life in hours as well as the standard graphic. I find the image quality to be perfectly acceptable for the intended purpose of the camera. We are not talking "professional" here - this is a perfect tool for the average photo-snapper. Professionals will spend way more and certainly won't be able to carry their gear in a small bag or shirt pocket. The only irksome things I found:- (1) The use by Sony of a proprietary socket (and corresponding plug on the cord) rather than a standard USB port. Why manufacturers do this can only be put down to wanting to earn an extra dollar: if the accessory cord is lost then the owner has no recourse other than to buy a Sony replacement. (2) The fact that the battery has to be removed from the camera body for recharging. Those gripes aside, I find this to be a great camera, for all the reasons given at the opening of these comments.
