1 of 1 found this helpful If your laptop doesn't travel much and you want to preserve your battery, you need the 90w AC adapter. The standard 65w adapter will not allow the ThinkPad to run at full speed when the battery is removed. In fact, performance drops about 75%. This adapter allowed me to pull the battery and still get maximum performance from my T430s.
