Much better than twist connectors
These electrical wire connecors cover from 12ga to 24ga, so there a lot fewer commectors in my electrical tool box. I do some house wiring but mostly smaller gauge low voltage jobs and these work just great for all jobs. Easy to get a secure connection and low profile. Highly recommended.

A DIY sink tip
I fish mostly in backcountry lakes and generally carry two spools, one with a WF floating line and another with a sinking shooting head. While this set up has worked pretty well, I'm getting into the less is more mindset. This will let me get a fly down several feet without carrying a second spool.

Maybe the best chain checker.
I now have three chain checkers (four if you count a ruler) and this one seems to be the best. All my chains are relatively new, so time will tell how much better it is.
