First edition or not?
The original first edition was priced (in the dust cover) at £35.00 it rapidly became as rare as the proverbial and I actually paid £100.00 for my copy. (I didn't, my wife bought it for me). As a Webley fanatic the book is referred to almost daily so is getting, even with care, slightly worn so I sought for another first edition, perhaps as a bit of a shrine or whatever. I specifically asked Wordery if this edition was a first edition and was assured that it was however when it arrived (I have kept it) it had a price of £40.00 inside the dust cover and a different ISBN number. So where is the line between a first edition and a reprint of a first edition drawn?
The book itself is excellent, any Webley collector must have one.

A replacement bracelet
I was given a bracelet on my 70th by friends, 'leather' and metal, Gothic. A few weeks later I was diagnosed with throat cancer and the bracelet went with me all the way, I never took it off (except for the MRIs and the 10 hour op - I had 2 more of the nasty b****rs in my neck).
That was four and a half years ago and then my trusty 'leather' bracelet began to fall to pieces so I wanted to replace it with something that I would value just as much. It is not easy to get it right on a piccy and description but this one's must have been good because it was just as shown. Excellent quality though a bit shiny, continual wear will tone that down! As a bonus my wife who tends to disparage my stem punk/Gothic taste loves it too.
The fastening is clever though a little tricky, perhaps a note with it might save some time? Anyway, got there in the end and love it.
