Very appropiate title!
3 of 3 found this helpful President Carter was a poor president. Since he left office, however, he became a lot wiser! I bought the book because I wanted to know how he would now (in 2006) deal with the Israeli/Palestinian problem. Critique for his book comes from all kinds of Jewish sources, but if one reads this book carefully and knows a bit the history of Israel since the Truman days, one understands that Israel has been and will be in the future a great problem for the US. This is not only caused by Israel's bad policy towards the Palestinians but also by the misguided policy of the US towards the Palestinians.
The future - in years or even in decades - will tell whether or not Carter was right what he wrote in this book.
