Programming is quite straight forward
Pros: Good sound, easy to program, enter contacts etc., though haven't been able to enter custom message for answering machine.
Cons: Wall mounting of base unit is okay but wall mounting satellite units is "mickey mouse" and not very secure.
Bluetooth will not "feed" in to house phone wiring so have to continue using the X-link we've had for years. That's okay but had hoped to reduce clutter.

Good value for the money
2 of 2 found this helpful Purchased to use for run-of-the-mill B&W rather than using my Canon 9000 Pro. Serves that purpose well. Like others have said it has a cheap plastic "feel" so wonder how it will stand up ... only time will tell.
Setup for USB was fast and simple. Wireless a different story.
Pros: Fast, low cost, auto duplex
Cons: Print seems a little light at times, envelope printing touchy, software for print configuration could be better
Overall I'm satisfied, mostly because the initial cost and per print cost both very low. I can easily live with the rest.

Replacement for HP 9650
2 of 3 found this helpful My large format HP printer started doing weird things after many years of use. The HP had provided a lot of great work, but HP customer service is ... well, there isn't any. I have a Canon scanner which is outstanding so decided to try the Canon printer. The only reason I graded it good instead of excellent is that is has a huge footprint and takes up a lot of real estate. It prints fast and with excellent quality. Paper handling is okay though there are a lot of things to flip "up & down & here & there" to carry it out.
I did all my b&w document printing with the HP along with photo work, but I wouldn't recommend that with the Canon, partly because small b&w laser printers are so cheap now and cost per page is much less, but also I just don't like the way the Canon handles the paper for that kind of use.
