Sony ericsson w595
I got this phone when my last sony ericsson got stolen (w595). I'd quite liked the old phone but it was REALLY temperamental - I had to send it back twice before I got one that worked and even then the keypad didnt light up properly ... so I did a bit of research and the w995 seemed to have some good reviews.
So here's what I've found good and bad:
Likes :o)
Nice solid feel with a chic metallic finish so it looks pretty hot! The music player is FAB and sound through the attachable speakers is v good (you can play music through the phone speakers but they're not as good). I love the way you can view texts through the 'conversations' folder in your messages file! Call quality is decent. Oh and battery life is excellent considering all the things the phone can do - I charge mine every 3-4 days with moderate use (mp3 player, texting, short phone calls but no internet and turning it off overnight). Wifi inclusion is great and camera is fine for quick snaps when you don't have your regular camera.
Dislikes :o(
Camera is 8.1megapix but it could be better - doesn't always focus well and not good in low lights even using the LED flash. But then it is a camera phone so I'm not expecting to replace my everyday camera!
Wifi - it's amazing that the phone has wifi BUT it does cut out alot and when I looked this up on the internet it seems that other people have had this proble too. Means that watching something on iplayer, for example, isn't much fun.
The phone design is great but it is a bit on the chunky side. Texting could also be easier - I find it a bit tricky texting fast and accurately on this phone!
Final gripe - phone could be faster as there is a slight lag after pressing buttons to access menus / folders.
I know it looks like there are lots of cons but trust me, overall this is a great phone. The music player is probably its strongest feature and I now no longer have a separate mp3 player!
