Quiet and Classy
1 of 1 found this helpful I liked the look of this vacuum on Ebay and the seller had a good price so decided to give this one a try. I have a two story home with a mixture of vinyl, tile and carpeting.
Reading the reviews I never heard of 'turning off' the beater bar, it does work on both tile and carpeting, has a great light and edges along the baseboards well. I use it upstairs for the bedrooms, baths and landing while using my Eureka Power Plus for downstairs.
The Hoover is very quiet compared to the Dirt Devil,that I had briefly,it was very loud and had cheap, difficult to use on-board tools(avoid that one). My Eureka Power Plus has been a faithful vacuum, quiet, it has on board tools that I use downstairs and it goes through deep pile better.
The Hoover Platinum carry all works well on stairs and places you can't stretch the hose I even use it to clean my car rug! The bags are easy to empty I haven't bought a bag yet I don't see any lack of suction so why buy them as long as they work?
Overall I love the look and the quiet, its easy to change out bags or just dump what you have the only drawbacks is lack of on board tools so you have to switch but when my other vacuum eventually dies I will feel comfortable using this one throughout my home.

Deeply profound
This is just an overwhelming book and I am not even half way through.
The author takes different books Lewis wrote and breaks them down further.
its hard to describe the thoughtfulness and depth these books put you through
but be prepared for a roller coaster ride!
