Pretty damn good, but make sure you have enough power!!
1 of 1 found this helpful I've recently come across the problem of getting a new motherboard to support my new Phenom II X4 940 that is Socket AM2+. I have always loved Asus motherboards so was very keen to get another. After reading lots of positive reviews about the Crosshair II Formula and the NVIDIA nForce 780a SLI chipset, I decided to get it.
I am extremely impressed with the layout, features and particularly BIOS of the board, makes it so easy to overclock, with all the relevent options on the very first BIOS screen! I have managed to overclock my 3GHz Phenom to 3.7GHz so far, and looks like I could still tweak it further!
However, I can feel my 600W PSU straining under the load, so looks like I'll be getting a new one soon, I would recommend at least 750W-800W with an 8-pin CPU plug, just for that extra kick!
Overall, extremely good performance, great benchmarking results, great overclocker! I've always trusted Asus for my motherboards and they haven;t yet me down yet!!

An excellent nostalgia trip back to the original Time Crisis! Just as good as I remembered it, Time Crisis revolutionised PlayStation gaming!

Great card for gaming and movies, needs more ports tho!
This Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer card is the IDEAL card for PC gamers! Supports up to EAX Advanced HD (EAX 5.0) and with extra bonuses like THX Certification and CMSS-3D enhancements gaming sounds so much more realistic!
The X-Fi Crystaliser processor on this card enhances MP3s and similarly-compressed media files to amazing standards, bringing out the best of the tracks!
The only negative comment about this card is the lack of ports 'round the back. The card has 3 analogue outputs (supporting 2.0, 2.1, 4.0, 4.1, 5.1 and 7.1 setups) but only one FlexiJack input, which also doubles as a S/PDIF output with a seperate adapter). Then again, I suppose if you wanted these interfaces you would look at a different X-Fi product (such as the Xtreme Audio), not the version designed for gaming.
The lack of ports brought the rating from 5/5 to 4/5.
Overall, this is an amazing card, and if you can get a good deal on it, it's amazing value!
