Sad history of people without jobs in South Wales
The brothers and sister in this family are living in poverty. The boys try to get jobs in a mining company, but miss out as their mother damaged their motorcycle (which was their only transport). This is a fairly grim story of a family living in an area where jobs are scarce, and the effect it has on the whole family. One of the boys, Boyo, tries to keep a positive attitude, but has a hard time living under such poor conditions. However, this film was worth watching to let us see what can happen in areas where people are struggling. It was very well acted, particularly the mother and Boyo.

Beautiful and sensitive film
This is a beautiful film about a Welsh couple who go to Patagonia - the man is a photographer. They are driven around in a very rusty old truck, by a driver who speaks Welsh even though he has always lived in Patagonia. There are also two people from Argentina visiting Wales. The Welsh couple speak in Welsh while in Patagonia, while the people from Argentina speak in Spanish while visiting Wales. There is something interesting about this - emphasising the link between Patagonia and Wales. As background to the film, there is a Welsh settlement in Patagonia who have kept their Welsh language and culture.
There is some lovely quiet humour with the elderly lady and her young companion travelling in Wales and looking for a farm where her mother lived. The couple from Wales are going through a bad patch in their relationship and trying to sort out their relationship.
This film would be particularly interesting to people of Welsh or Argentinian descent, but also of interesting to anyone who loves a beautiful, sensitive film. The filming is quite lovely showing the green fields of Wales and the bare desert scenery of Argentina. We do not get the best scenery from either country, but the film is still lovely to watch. I did not think the final decision between the young Welsh couple was credible - but that is just my opinion.
