Great reader!

I had this reader in elementary school in the 1970s. It was a great book for learning to read, and I still recommend it for children of the age level in which it was created for.

WINDMASTERS BANE by TOM DEITZ

Tom Deitz was a master writer. His down-to-earth nature and love for all things fantasy shine brightly in WINDMASTER'S BANE, the first of the David Sullivan novels. The characters are realistic. They remind me of real people one might have grown up with. Tom genius lies in crossing homespun daily life in small town Georgia with Tolkien-esque fantasy/mythology. You feel for David Sullivan and his friends, and you are compelled to travel along with them on their discovery of the mystic Land of Faerie, and he paints a vivid picture of the Sidhe.
