Has to be modified to fit
2 of 4 found this helpful this clip doesn't quite fit the prewar .22 Colt woodsman first series pistol. There's two tabs sticking up too far that impinge on the travel of the slide, out of the box they won't even chamber a round. I filed them down to where it's possible to use but there's a couple design issues. It is probably the only game in town for this pistol, so nothing much to be done about it.
1. The follower that the spring pushes up to feed rounds has a catch on the side that consists of a single small pin. As this is very fiddly to load you will be spending a lot of time messing with it while that tiny pin is digging into you. The original pin is three times the diameter larger than this. It's just too small.
2. The design lacks the original magazine's feature of the pieces in the center that squeeze tight on the sides of the round as it's in the next to chamber position.
3. Something about the design is causing misfeeds. I have zero misfeeds using the original 77 year old magazine. The round typically gets partially to the chamber but is crushed by the slide coming forward instead of chambering the round properly. This happens about one in twenty rounds. The end of the round is usually messed up or the round is crimped in the center that deforms the ammo so badly I don't feel safe using it and have to discard it.
Despite all these problems there's no one else making these at any price, so this is the only game in town. I won't be trying to return them because they're all that's out there short of shelling out a ton of money for a very old original.

Regrets, I have a few
1 of 1 found this helpful Makes grinding noise when using. I confirmed that is the right one for my razor. Does not cut any better than my 4 year old blades. I threw it and my old razor away and bought a new Remington for just $15 more than this costs.
