    A better option
Having used the standard rubber feet for a while - and lost some in mud - these are a better option. 1) they do not come off as easily. 2) the rubber bit, when down, provides a broader contact service and it grips better. 3) the spike work very very well in grass / soil where the rubber can easily slip. I think that the adjustable rubber-spike solution is better than either option too. You can leave the spikes slightly exposed to create a little bit more grip without digging in hard, and if you do dig the spike in hard, then the turning the rubber will clean the spike. Great answer.
