A return to the joy of the action novels of my youth
As a fan of Ralph Hayes since I was in Junior High School, it was cool to find this gem. I hadn't read any of his non-Western books before, and I was a big fan of "O'Brian, Buffalo Hunter" in the various books written with him as the protagonist. The first "adult Western" I'd read and it made the transition from kids books to more adult/realistic content. Not a deep read, just breakneck action and the type of paperback that brings me back to a simpler time. Enjoyable and uncomplicated. Recommended.

A Great Text on Tracking for all who can use the skill
Hunters, Military Professionals, LE and Rescue Workers as well as General Outdoors People will find the book useful among the many various books out there on the topic. While practical training from a professional is the best way to learn this skill, this book is a great companion text in learning the various ins and outs of tracking and...even a bit on counter-tracking. Even an armchair enthusiast will find it a great read. Recommended.

For all of us who remember the publication from the '80s.
A great piece of militaria and nostalgia for those of us who bought monthly. This was a favorite magazine of mine and my Army buddies. An offshoot from "Soldier of Fortune". I'm glad its still available on this platform. The articles about the Military Courses at the time (they have changed with technology) and regional conflicts that in many places are still ongoing. Yes compelling. The World has changed but yet....so much hasn't.
