New Life For Old Radios
1 of 1 found this helpful Few things degrade an old radio's appearance more than a damaged or hazed-out dial cover. The two covers I received were beautifully vacuum formed of a clear acetate type plastic with no flaws or blemishes. The plastic is the same thickness as the originals and both lenses fit their respective radio models perfectly. I compared the contours of the new lenses to those of the damaged lenses off my radios and they too were perfect. You can't go wrong with these repro lenses if you're looking for an accurate restoration.

Lightweight But Great Value
At this price point the cover is of lightweight material and thus must be handled very carefully to avoid damage. Just follow the installation directions and you should have no problems. Great value for the price!

Hangar 9 Sealing Iron Sock is the Ticket for Beautiful Covering
Having used the old Monokote sealing iron sock for years I can say that the Hangar 9 sock is far superior. First, it fits all iron shoes even the larger ones. Second, the strings for holding it on are actually long enough to tie like shoe laces. Third, the material that contacts the covering on the sock face is a soft flannel type that doesn't scratch the covering and excess covering adhesive doesn't stick to it like the Monokote sock. It's definitely the way to go.
