Simple and functional
I inherited Sonnar 2,8 /180 Carl Zeiss Jena and Pentacon 4/300. It came with Pentacon Six camera 6x6 and I was not sure if I can use at least lenses on my Canon 6D. Heavy artilery folks. I ordered this adaptor and being not sure if it will ever work. What a surprise I tell you. I was amazed by the quality. 300mm lens beats my great $1,300.00 Sigma 2.8/70-200 hands down. Sharpness is stunning. Downside is it needs tripod and also you have to start thinking about settings aperture,ISO, shuter speed etc.- (no optical stabilization and also it is a manual lens). Forget "focus chip" it is useless. I could not figure how to work with it. It did not come with any paperwork explaining how it works. In any case it is well made adaptor for my Canon 6D no issues and it is very accurate as far as zoom #. 180mm is very close to 180 and also 300 is much closer than 200mm Sigma. It forced me to be a better photographer by far.
