Still excellent and entertaining over 50 years on
Putting aside the fact that this series was first aired over 50 years ago, they are still very entertaining. The chemistry between Steed and Mrs. Peel makes these worth watching. There's often a bit of tongue and cheek humor, but the plot lines are good enough to carry it through. You need to keep in mind that this is a bit of a time capsule of a different era. Mrs. Peel was always more than a beautiful woman with tons of appeal. And even in a genre that probably had great appeal for adolescents, Mrs. Peel was always more than eye-candy.
One surprise was that I enjoyed watching these old episodes even more than expected. They're still very, very good!

Wonderful film- High School Movie meets Shakespeare
How do I love this movie? Let me count the ways. Enough of that. This is a hip, movie with tons of awards with good reason. There is a magical quality to this gay high school student dealing with life in a private school in a narrow-minded town. It's beautifully written, cast, acted, and photographed. I know these things because I watch dozens of this genre film every year. This is the cream of the crop with it's heart-warming portrayals. There's nothing sappy or risque here. Just great cinema. You will love it!

Clear, concise and enlightening!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a wonderful and entertaining book about Zen. You can use this book for research (very well footnoted)or as an introduction to Zen. Who knows...you might even find something to trigger your own satori.
