Big Gain ! .....leading to Great Picture
2 of 2 found this helpful Title really says it all, this is a big aerial ! Twice the size of the one it replaced, in fact, it's actually bigger than my next door neighbour's two aerials ! But I'd say that it still appears to have out performed them by more than twice, and his set up was recommended by an aerial fitter to cure the sometimes patchy digital TV reception we get when weathers bad. The gain on this is amazing ! It acts to suck the signal in like a sponge, since it went up there hasn't been a flicker of interference on any digital channels, and I know that during a storm we had the other day next doors twin set up was shocking on a couple of channels, this was rock solid.
It is big so maybe later in the year wind may be a bit of an issue but hasn't been so far and there's been couple of windy days. Quality wise it's good, not great as box it came in got a little bent in post, but all the elements straighten up fine, if box was better this would have been a Great ! Once you've built it up and your getting it on the roof, size is a pain but when you've got it up, you'll forget all the hassle of its size and walking on your roof, picture quality is that Good.
I was sceptical when I bought this, one really big aerial or two normal ones, could have gone either way as a lot of people around here have twin set up, but I'm genuinely glad I went for this bad boy as single setup instead. If you lived on Mars you'd probably get digital ok if you ran a twin set up of these. In short if your digital signals a bit pants, get one, if your signal is none existent get two, I think you be amazed, if it works as well for you as it has for me it'll be worth the effort of putting it up there.

Bob On perfect as picture frames
In truth, they’re old and slow compered to new stuff ! But for what I bought them for a revolving picture frame…..”They’re Perfect “ bang on screen size to look like real photos, they don’t look like they use much power (mains plugged) and they just chug on ! Slide show words nicely! And they have the added bonus of having enough space between viewable screen and edge of case that I could mount them securely. As a workable tablet, no sorry they’re pretty crap and limited “Tesco” having killed support, but as cheap reliable picture frames …Bob On perfect
