Craftsman quality is good every time.
Gen-u-ine Craftsman filter. Holds up well, can be cleaned over and over. Just don't get it wet.

great pool pump
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great pump, has nice output (~80 gallons per minute) and now the motor is even more efficient; 11 amps instead of 12.
Since you will at some point have to replace the carbon pump seal, you'd be wise to go ahead and disassemble the pump from the motor (remove the 4 long bolts from the back side of the motor) and LIBERALLY apply an anti-corrosion paste to the threads of the pump. If you don't, you'll likely not be able to remove the pump from the motor when you need to. Trust me...this has happened to me twice; the bolts will snap instead of unscrewing.
