Effective and Affordable MIDI cable

This is a no nonsense cable which does what it’s supposed to do - in my case connect up Meridian active speakers requiring the slave (S5) configuration. Cheap in comparison to custom made cables and does exactly the same job. For me it was a great find.

Old School, Timeless Quality

On their day Haitink with his Concertgebouw Orchestra were peerless in so much of the standard repertoire. The Dutch maestro had at least three goes at the Olympus that is the Beethoven Nine (LPO. Concertgebouw, LSO) and whilst some will prefer his last thoughts in London, those looking for the best sound will prefer this set over the Barbican-taped cycle. Uncontroversial, wise, inevitable, this set unfolds with measured assured grace and presents this greatest of music in a manner which emphasises Beethoven’s genius rather than the quirky personalities of lore interventionist interpreters. There will be no more Beethoven under Haitink who has now retired from conducting - this is a lasting tribute to his many unobtrusive qualities.
