Sister Wendy rocks!
I first encountered Sister Wendy years ago watching TV late at night. I was first intrigued and humored to see a nun in full habit standing in front of masterpieces of art describing their content with a lisp from a pronounced overbite. I thought she was a funny character. What I soon realized was that she was a deeply knowledgable art scholar with a beautiful gift of bringing out more than you could have imagined from the works she reviewed. Humble, deeply knowledgable, soulful, and spellbinding; Sister Wendy rocks! The DVD's are well produced with great close-ups to highlight areas she is speaking of. Learn the history and back stories of classic works and of the artists that created them. If you enjoy an occasional visit to an art museum, take your next trip with Sister Wendy by watching these DVDs. There's no-one I'd rather wander good art with.
