Too wide to fit adjacent to anything else

This thing is so fat it won't fit next to my HDMI cable, or my USB Type C adapter, or my Logitech USB wireless receiver, meaning I can't use it adjacent to anything else on my laptop. Talk about convenient. Who designs these things?
