Terrible communication

Ordered and paid for on Sunday, 4.4.20 @ 3:25PM. Canceled and refunded because “I'm out of stock or the item is damaged” on 4.8.20 @ 9:25PM, when this was slated to arrive on Saturday, 4.11.20. This is really crummy to be finding out so late after I paid for this item. This was going to be an Easter gift and now we’re left with no recourse at this late date, given the state of things right now. If you were out of stock or this item was damaged- you really should have reached out sooner than this. I made sure I paid immediately. I’m so disappointed for my eight year old son, who has been locked inside the house for four weeks because we’re in Queens, New York. I think this is inconsiderate and unacceptable, not to mention the communication- “I'm out of stock or the item is damaged” was clip and unapologetic.
