Great shifter - if only it was better supported in xbox
The TH8A is extremely well built and engineered. However I found that Xbox one has very little support in any of the Forza racing games or Nascar Heat. The TH8A comes with the 8 gate shifter plate installed. I just assumed that it would allow me to manually shift through the gears. However If I would have gone to Thrustmasters web site and looked at game compatibility, I would have found that it is only compatible in the sequence mode (i.e. shift up/shift down). Fortunately the TH8A comes with another plate that gives you the two state shift action. This is just slightly more immersive than the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. I really can't down rate the product or Thrustmaster for this as it was my fault for not looking before buying. If you are using it on a playstation or PC do your research here is the support thrustmaster website for TH8A and check out the software.
