An exact replacement for my old key.

This item is an exact replacement for my old key, which had broken up. I was able to swap the blade from my old key into the new one, so I didn't even have to go to the expense of getting it cut at a locksmith. There is a small pin which holds the blade in place, which can be punched out- I used an old drill bit of the right size. Slightly tricky to replace the pin, but we got there. Then it was just a case of swapping over the electronic circuit board and putting in a new battery, and we were all ready to go.

Extremely good value for money.

These batteries are great. I have had four from this supplier, and will continue to use them. The last one was still going strong after two years on my BMW R65, which I have just sold. I have today fitted one to my newly-acquired Royal Enfield 500, and fully expect it to go well. When the price is taken into account, it's truly amazing- I have been asked for twice the money for a similar product.

A great product- easy to fit

When I inquired about the compatibility of this product with my 2007 Peugeot 307 diesel estate, the reply was to the point-'yes it's universal'. So I ordered one, and in a week or so (I'm in Australia) it arrived. The only item of equipment I needed to purchase to help me fit the device was a circuit test lamp, cheaply obtained from a local shop. Being someone who has the kind of regard for electricity that I have for savage dogs, I approached the task with some trepidation. But to my amazement, it all went swimmingly. Looking at the Scotchlock snap-connectors, I decided to follow the advice of a YouTube contributor, and solder the connections; that apart, I can find no fault with the product. I found a space for the ECU behind an interior panel in the luggage compartment, and a grommet and hole taking existing wiring through the floor was sufficient to take the new wiring. the bracket and plug supplied for the connection to the trailer are of good quality. All devastatingly simple- the ECU is no bigger than a cigarette packet, and the instructions are clear. Happy to recommend this product.
