Biggles- Adventure In Time
1 of 1 found this helpful I remember renting the video Biggles - Adventures In Time, and back then it caught the imagination of time travel.
The music is from one of the best decades the 80's, but the film itself, shows that anything is possible and you too could have a time twin somewhere.
James Bigglesworth was an inspiration in the 60's a excellent english pilot, who had so many adventures, but to be stuck with an american who gets flung back in time everytime biggles has a problem, can burst the bubble of his heroics.
But...
When Biggles has to come to the aid of Jim Ferguson (his time twin)in the 80's you get a new adventure, and seeing as biggles can fly they steal a helicopter.
All in all the film is great for adventure and laughs, and the problems that Jim Ferguson faces in the present day and in 1917 is great, but to throw more entertainment in, Jim's girlfriend jumps back with him once, thinking she has gone insane or mental.
Couple of queries though.
How did the Germans invent a sound machine of such high quality, back in 1917.
Where did they get the "igloo" made from tiles for the space shuttle in 1917.
and
Why didn't the mysterious Mr. Raymond (Biggles's commanding officer) remember that they had destroyed the sound machine.
All in all a great film full of laughs with the one liners, and just when you thought a wedding was going to be happy sailing, you better think again.
The way the film ends leaves you with an idea of a sequel, but obviously this wasn't to be.
Great film, great laughs, one of those childhood classics, on DVD, and yes my family love it.
