Not for me
0 of 1 found this helpful Sorry to say the needle threader didn't work for me but the needle inserter did. My closeup eyesight is so bad even with reading glasses I couldn't manage the needle threader. I tried a magnifier but it was too awkward. I ended up removing the needle, threading it and re-inserting. I read that hint from another review. There is a you-tube instruction video for the threader but between my eyesight and fat fingers, I just couldn't manage it. Bottom line is I don't think it's the mechanism; seemed to be well made and I would always trust Dritz.

Gets the job done!
More powerful than I expected, Not a problem b/c it got the job done faster than I expected. It's going to be my new favorite tool. Warning tho, it's very loud.
