The work in this book is sublime.
The work of Langston Hughes is sublime. I have studied Walt Whitman and Robert Frost and they are great. I have read and studied the work of many other poets as creative writing is an important part of my life. Langston Hughes work is the work that I really connect with completely. It is heart to heart. I feel he is the greatest American poet. This book is fabulous. I will look for it in hard-back but am thrilled to have it at all.

Aztec by Gary Jennings
This is NOT what I thought it was but if you are looking for an extremely, pushing the limits, erotic historical fictional account of Aztec life...this is it. As far as historical fiction alone...not so much.

Horrible version of Emma. Jane Austen is in her coffin sick.
This was the worst version of Emma I have seen to date, in almost every way. What is with the Brits having the main female characters constantly smiling? Someone could have shot Emma's father in front of her and she would have smiled and made some supposedly clever response... AWFUL. Interminably long and they get almost to the end (and what is considered to be the climax-but in this version there is none) where Emma and her love are disclosing their true feelings for each other and they cut to her father? Really? AWFUL is not severe enough.
