The Best Value in Switching
For anyone wondering what switch to deploy in a small business: this is it. The per-port price is hard to beat, the feature mix is state-of-the-art for an L3 switch, and it's a very solid and stable platform. I was considering a purchase of a 1U HPE switch, and settled on the 5406zl chassis with two PoE power supplies and two 24-port PoE modules. This chassis also supports service modules like wireless AP manager and i7 server blade (!!).
There is a very healthy mix of used parts available for good price, as well as full support by HP, including the Aruba v3 chassis - still backwards-compatible with v1 modules.
You can get 48 ports on a used chassis for the price of a junky NETGEAR PoE switch. It's a no-brainer really to choose HPE here.
