Would definitely buy a second one
This cat scratching tree is high quality, rugged and provides hours of fun for a puddy.
It is easy to put it together and the finished product is impressive.

Better than the 650D IMO
I wanted to install magic lantern so went with the 600d over the 650d as the team have not yet cracked the 650d code. If you want to make videos with this camera, then check out the magic lantern software, it is amazing and sorts any of the niggles you will have with this camera for movies. Even photographers might want to check it out, as there are some great features for photography. To be able to put a camera at a window in a storm and have it detect motion and immediately fire the shutter on lightening - wow. Or to take a macro and have it stack focus so you get more DOF, great features.
In researching the cameras, the only things that drew me to the 650d were the better focusing system and the continual focus for movies, but after reviewing the movie continual focus, I saw examples where the camera could not keep focus on a toddler walking slowly - the system is too new yet to be overly useful in video mode. However, if photography is your primary use, the 9 cross-type focus points over just the center point would make me choose the 650d - especially for sport and wildlife.
I purchased the Kiss X5 version and am very happy. For me it is a great upgrade from the 400d, the sensor shows much lower noise so higher ISO's are usable and the larger file size means you can crop and still get a good size image or print the original file very big.
Lastly this camera has a special feature - the digital zoom in movie mode. Using the 3x zoom with even a 100-300mm on small birds at a few meters away, or on the 100mm macro, 10cm from the object gives you wonderful results. I have compared the interpolation on the Adobe CS5 suite of products to the in-camera interpolation and the camera wins every time.
