Too Much Sun
It's fine, but a Blu-Ray format would have been better!

Nice-looking case, with good items for manicures.
Tools are only average, basic items but good deal for the price.

Despite its slow operation, the Marantz UD 9004, delivers great SACD sound.
It takes way too much time to play SACD discs, to modifiy or change settings, and it is not helpful that pages of the set-up pages in the Operating manual are greyed out, particularly the pages devoted to multi-channel listening to 7.1 or 5.1 set-ups which cannot be applied as these pages are not accessible by using the "set-up" pages devoted to multi-channel listening. Sadly this confirms suspicions of bias against pro multi-channel listening, as this, ands the absence the absence of DSD disc listening (now virtually standard in SACD today is not even mentioned.
Of course the unit's build is still Marantz-like in its excellent finish of construction, and the audio quality - as far as it goes - is wonderful. It is however very maddeningly slow to register and activate changes and learn something from more recent Oppo machines.
Good as it otherwise is, clearly an update or upgrade is in order if possible.
