Jimi Hendrix, Crash Landing

We have all heard the complaining about the posthumous releases from the Hendrix leftovers so I finally did buy a $.99 copy on ebay and I must say there is no reason to put down CRASH LANDING.If I had known this 33 years ago I would have paid full price for it. It is not my favorite Hendrix by any means, but it is a treat to hear and all the songs are pure Jimi. Of course I have heard some of songs by now since a few have been released in tidbits by the Hendrix estate.They should have just release this and Hendrix in the West as they were, but no. The family has claimed that Jimi would not have wanted these posthumous albums released as they were, but really only Jimi would know this. So buy crash landing, war heroes, cry of love, in the west, midnight lightning, loose ends You can find them all on line and it beats waiting for Official Family Releases, which I feel have have been mostly butchered out of greed and not out concern for Jimi's integrity.

Jimi Hendrix - Live at Woodstock (2005, DVD)

I have just about all the Hendrix dvds available and this one is by far the absolute best "Concert footage of Jimi". The camera angles are mostly of Jimi and they get up close and really show him and his brilliant playing that August morning. No other Hendrix video has been as satisfying to me. I am a guitarist myself and this is the one to own. marino8so5
