The go-to book for English local and family history
This is an extremely comprehensive guide. Not only does it give brief information on a huge range of terms used in the field, it also provides thematic articles on topics ranging through The Poor, Education, African-Caribbean Genealogy, Women Local and Family Historians, and more. Equally valuable as a reference book and an overview of major areas of interest.
The editor - a leader in the field - died only a few days ago so alas, we will probably not see any more books from him. I am very pleased that I bought this book and it has provided the information I needed every time I've referred to it. A real winner.

Great product, great price
I especially like the fact that the strength rating is printed on each band. The bands are strong, good quality and exactly what I wanted. And such a good price!
