JRLink HT25 8' Secondary Ignition Capacitive Auto Pickup Probe X10000 scope US

    Horrible captures
I've been using scopes for some time now and I decided to buy the Hantek 1008C for home/personal use. The Hantek 1008C it self is a great scope for the price and very usable. However the secondary ignition pick up it comes with is junk as I tried it on a Pico scope and a fluke 190 and its the same. Bad captures that's aren't even usable. Maybe I got a bad one which is possible but I spoke with others that have this probe and they are disappointed in it as well.

A bang for the buck !!
Ok let me start off by saying I am in no way trying to hype this thing up to be something its not.. I bought this kit assembled and ready to go minus the case (pretty easy) and I will say for $26.00 you can't beat it.I was sold as a 200kHZ scope but in real life even reaching 100kHZ had this thing maxed out.But for lower frequency signals it works great triggers well and is pretty user friendly.I use mine for testing automotive sensors both digital and analog which are generally very low bandwidth signals (a few hundred HZ usually ).How ever the FW flashing is to complex and ignores and already present mini USB connector that's already on the board(why JYE tech??). Mine has the most recent FW update for functionality the available update is for the display which seems to work fine.I bought a BNC to 7mm banana jack adaptor to use standard multimeter leads which works greaf.Besure to use with a good chargers charged battery if you use that option as anything under 8v seems to have an affect on its funtionallity. My battery was a little weak with a OCV of 7.36V and the scope seem to not work right the zero line would be at the lowest divisions but the signal would be off the screen regardless of attuentuaion setting or trigger and time base.fresh battery fixed that issue. Bottome line yes for $26.00 you can't go wrong with this little scope IF you don't have insane expectations of it even operating it at half its rated bandwidth the signal is real distorted and the triggering is off.But basic use like with Arduino projects or measuring signals from an automotive Oxygen sensor or MAF sensor it works great!!!
