As it is a DERWENT branded item, i expected it to be designed to work perfectly with DERWENT pencils. Sadly it does not. It sharpens to a very elongated point, which makes the point weak and prone to snapping off, but worse it rips and tears the pencil wood. The brand new blade is blunt!!!.
I can' t recommend this at all, and it wasn't cheap. You could get a better sharpener for 1/4 that price.

illustrated guide with too few illustrations
it is an illustrated guide but has nowhere near enough illustrations! i am disappointed with this product, was expecting more for the $38.00 i paid. i like the glossy paper and compact size though.

Difficult to read and find info you want in it.
difficult font, poor quality paper. hard to read and hard to find the information you are looking for. i can't recommend this, i'm sure there must be more user friendly books on this subject out there!
