Good cheap simple fat ball bird feeder
unlike many of the cheap bird feeders this does the job, it doesnt pretend to ward off sqiirrels - those are a waste of money. Rather than just put in fat balls I tend to break them into halves so that the bits get closer to the grid walls. works well

Audiolab 8200T Tuner
A good DAB/DAB+ tuner from the Audiolab collection - There are a few DAB+ stations so this purchase is future proofed. Like all Audiolab gear it is well made and the sound quality as good as you can expect from radio esp DAB. More expensive than the typical Sony or Cambridge DAB tuners that turn up on Ebay but they are normally only DAB not DAB+. The trouble is the Audiolab doesnt turn up very often on Ebay and often at prices too near the original price of £500. I paid just £265 collect. I did find on first tuning it could hang on a station that didn't seem to be there but a re boot cured that & I haven't had any listening issues changing stations worked fine. You get a system remote that also controls other audiolab gear like the 8200cdq -The remote Is nice in that while you control the tuner it will also at the same time change the volume on the 8200cdq. So for Audiolab 8200 series owners a good buy.

an entertaining book
main shortcoming is that OS map references are incomplete ie lack the prefix letters so cannot put them into a modern map software - the author uses paper maps; otherwise an entertaining book
