Great for those that want to hear TV/etc better. Could save a marriage
2 of 2 found this helpful I am hard of hearing. The TV is especially difficult even with my hearing aids. My new husband has incredibly sensitive hearing, so with the TV we are incredibly incompatible. Uh Oh. The end of a new marriage? Not with this listening device. The sound quality is incredible. I can hear things I never could hear before and in STEREO. My husband sets the volume where he likes it and then I set my own volume. Marital bliss. Its also great if your partner wants to sleep. Turn the volume on the TV waaay down and turn the headphones up, no noise to disturb the sleeper, I can even do that. It comes with multiple ear pieces to find what works best/is most comfortable for you.
I have not used other products to compare it with.
Only a couple of wishes. It is directional since it is infrared. I can't turn my back to put laundry away and listen to the TV. A little bit of a bummer. It can get a little heavy on your ears although I am starting to get used to that. I am thinking about taking an old style of headset earphones or a headband and attaching it to take some of the weight off my ears. This may not bother some.
OVERALL a great product. I would recommend it to anyone with hearing issues or those that want to listen to TV late in bed and not disturb their partner.
