Perfect for when I can't use bounce or large softboxes
It does look a bit strange on the camera, but it is perfect for when I can't use bounce glash or large soft boxes. I did a shoot at an event which I wish I had this for. I will be better prepared next time. The difference in test shots is noticable with and without it.

Check the small print - EU plug. Grr!
2 of 2 found this helpful Get your magnifying glass out to check the small print and it is a EU plug. Grr! Every other item I purchase I purchase on eBay comes with a plug for Australia.

Will only convert files to MPG2 files, not MPG4 files.
I could only convert my Hi8 and VHS tapes to MPG2, not MPG4 as promised. I dealt with Diamond Tecnhnical Support and they said that was just the way it was and I would have to convert the MPG2 files to MPG4. The process is a real pain because MPG2 files are large. It is an extra step of needing to convert them in PowerDirector to MPG4 files, then delete the MPG2 files. Argh!. I wish the product did as it promised.
If you click on the MPG4 Record option, it converts it an AVI file. If you click on the DVD Record option, it will convert it to an MPG2 file. It looks like it is an MPG1 file based on the extension. Unfortunately I cannot import these files into my preferred editing software, DaVinci Resolve.
