Nice classic glass
1 of 1 found this helpful Nice old Pentax lens. The A series work well with the newer digital bodies with the aperture ring set to "A". (APS C sized sensors will have a 75mm equivalent focal lens, meaning the lens will perform as a 75mm would on film or full frame DSLR)
The wide aperture (1.7) is great for low light and it's shallow DOF. A little soft wide open but super sharp stopped down a little. Makes a really nice portrait lens.

Great value, nice lens
1 of 1 found this helpful With the new 645 lenses being so expensive, this lens is amazing for the money. I don't shoot action with it but the AF seems plenty fast enough for my needs. Images are sharp and the bokeh is nice and smooth. I typically shoot it stopped down on a tripod for landscapes and it renders my images beautifully. (645D user)

Good for Pentax K-1 with some modification
I was looking for an L plate with Manfrotto RC2 plates (instead of Arca Swiss) for my K-1ii because that is what I already have on several heads and cameras. This one is a pretty good fit but in its stock form blocks the battery door. I hack sawed off the strap lug section on the bottom, shortening it by about 1/4" to make it clear the door. After some smoothing with a file and a little black enamel it looks good (until you look close) and works just how I need it to.
