The Best mini-series you can watch
By now I'm sure most of you have heard of this mini-series, and with good recommendation. It is by far one of the best dramatizations of World WarII that you will ever see. Based on the history of the 101st airborne 506th PIR (Parachute Infantry Regiment) 'E'(Easy) company throughout WWII in Europe. From the beginning of the company in Georgia to the end of the war in Europe it will leave you wanting more. The tin the series comes in is very nice. It is a six disc set which folds out to a sleeve with a disc on each page, plus a bonus disc with the making of and some other extras which are really nice. The whole collection is over ten hours of material. One of the things I liked most about the set is on each disc it gives a time line history of the episode and it goes into detail about rank which helps to follow the chain of command for people not familiar with rank in the military. I also enjoyed the soundtrack so much I bought it as well, however it is seperate. With a cast of unknowns at the time, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks behind the scenes, and based on Stephen Ambrose best-selling book you can't go wrong. At the beginning of each episode it has a few men from Easy Company, yes the actual guys portrayed in each episode, tell a little about what they felt at that time during that particular situation. That has to be one of my favorite pieces with each episode. Let me say this real quick, the scene where the allies fly into Normandy on D-Day is by far the best I have ever seen. If you have surround sound this dvd set is a must just for the sound alone. When the paratroopers come down in occupied France in the dark with Germans firing all around them it is quite a scene. Especially from the viewpoint of someone jumping from a plane, being shot at, and heading towards the fiery crash from another plane that was shot down. And you see all this and..... just get it, it's more than worth it. From D-day to Operation Market Garden to the Battle of the Bulge the action and suspense never end. Oh, and did I mention it was a Golden Globe winner for best mini-series or movie made for television.

Kilroy was here
This game series has always been my favorite games to play. So I may be a little biased here. The game starts you off on the beaches of Normandy, Omaha Beach, where you get blown out of your LCVP (Landing Craft Vehicle Personel) and have to help advance your fellow soldiers up to the seawall. Once there you must take out a machine gun nest before entering one of the bunkers filled throughout with germans. Has to be one of the best opening sequences for a game ever! I believe most people have already played this game and are familiar with this WWII franchise. I have played all the MOH for game consoles and this is by far the BEST one. The music soundtrack fits your gameplay, mood, surroundings, and time period to a tee (I even bought the soundtrack). Granted the game is a couple of years old now, but still one of the BEST WWII games ever produced. Have fun!!

Hell yeah
First, I don't think anyone under the age of a teenager should even see this game. The game has a rating of Mature which I found to be a fair rating. As far as games that are meant to make you feel you are there, this one comes really close when you are playing it in surround sound at midnight. The sound quality is great as are the graphics. This is a first person shooter game, which as you can see by my other reviews, I enjoy playing. You begin as a marine coming to Mars where your new home awaits. Unfortunately for you as you begin your tour of the grounds all hell breaks loose, literally. Somehow the geniuses there have found a way to open a portal to Hell which does not boast well for the people that don't know this. Needless to say you need to find a way off this rock before the hellspawn and demons get you. If you like to play games in the dark, use a flashlight (which is a must at times), and use some cool weapons this game should fit that bill. I found the story to be quite entertaining as I made my way through different tasks slaughtering demons, hellspawns, zombies, and other baddies. With the price this game can be picked up for today you can't loose, unless your afraid of the dark.
