    Could be great but...not
    Not sure if it was just the unit I got, but if they are all like this...it's a lousy keyboard. Why? Bad typing experience (key layout and feel) and poor Bluetooth connectivity causing missed keystrokes to the point where the keyboard is unusable. Probably no coincidence that these things are being liquidated in droves as refurbished units.

    Lenovo t430 backlit keyboard better than non-backlit - here's why
    The backlit keyboard model not only offers backlit keys and the ThinkLight (Fn + space: 1st time=dim backlit, 2nd time=brighter backlit, 3rd time=ThinkLight goes on, 4th time=all lights off), but the key feel is far superior on the backlit keyboard compared to the non-backlit keyboard. It is much friendlier to fast typing and less errors. The non-backlit keyboard "key feel" is kind of clunky, causing more errors. So if you have the choice, get the backlit version keyboard for T430 and comparable laptops. More love, less war. Peace!
