does not work with A/C powerline ethernet extender modules

I bought this to cover half my house, planning to run the Ethernet to it via the Netgear XET1001 units I have. But as soon as you plug the D-Link into the same power outlet, the Netgear unit loses sync with its base unit. Obviously there is some serious RF interference feeding through the power adapter. Sigh.
