Such a musical and easy listen to wind down after a hectic day.
Just a delightfully musical selection of wonderful songs and arrangements. Karen Carpenter’s voice defines easy listening. I had their LPs but gave them away, so this is a very nostalgic return to my young adulthood. Quality of the CD is very good

A delightful lesson in learning how to discern and deal with a friend’s manipulative behaviour, and produce a good outcome for both.
Two young friends discuss tea sets. One is more conniving, the other more trusting despite her mother’s warning. When Frances realises she has been tricked she sets about rectifying her loss, and the outcome is a lesson well learned for them both.

A little known gem from the Astaire/Rogers partnership
The late Bill Collins introduced me to this film in the early 70s on the Golden Years of Hollywood. Based on the true story of a trend setting couple who introduced America to many dance floor numbers before WW1, the film has drama, comedy and tragedy. Much more meaty plot-wise than the earlier frothy excuses for wonderful dance sequences, this is a satisfying well put together film. Fred actually kisses Ginger too!
