Kia Sportage Mk2 Boot Liner 2004 To 07/2010 Protective Protector Mat Tray
29 August 2018
Good value and fit boot liner
Good fit, with a non-slip section, the lip is just the right height to prevent slippages and stop items falling/rolling out of the boot but not too high to make access difficult. The general mat is durable plastic, but the non-slip section is rubber which looks like it may wear quickly. Good purchase, especially for this sort of cart I always have these in the family car and it keeps the boot clean and tidy.

Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens
For the price of the lens it is very good. Very light, but therefore potentially not very durable all plastic construction including mount I have found the IS feature makes about two focal stops difference which can be useful. Good as a kit lens or an starter lens if like me you have tranfered from film SLR to Digital recentely and need the wide angle equivalent of your older full frame lenses. It is the equivalent of a 29 mm the next canon lens available with a wide range is alot more expensive. I have found that the smaller front lens aperature doesn't let as much light in as my older 28-200mm sigma lens which had a 72mm filter ring. The 18-55mm only has a 58mm filter ring, but this is a very common filter ring size for canon and so the upside is that filters are much cheaper. Will give more detail after a full test this weekend. Design for Society by Nigel Whiteley
The book is a good introduction to social design and considers, many of the issues that we would now describe under sustainable design. the book does in oplaces rely too much on disseminarting and gathering case studies etc from previous texts and therefore canat times feel quite dated. This book was first published in 1993 but uses examples from the 1970's. However that said this is an excellent introduction to the area and should be on every product design students reading list as it gives a great overview and asks inportant questions without overwhelming them with flowery language. It isn't as seminar as Victor Papanek's Design for the Real World but it is a very useful text that will be on my shelf to direct students to and to reference myself from time to time. The authorsadly passed away last year but has left a text that has and should continue to leave it's mark in this field.
